Vision, Mission, Core Values, I believe...

I am a Christ follower, Nation Seeker, Business owner (www.kingdom.com) and servant of the Lord most high! Welcome to my blog!

Vision
My vision is to see God glorified. It is to see "His will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Mission
My mission, like Nehamiah, is to bring together the people of God to rebuild the walls.

Core Values
1. Corporate Prayer
2. Committed Relationships
3. Deliberate Action

"Unpacking" these Values:

Corporate Prayer. In order to do anything for God, we need His direction, His help, His favor and His wisdom. He tells us that He will help us do His will if we ask Him.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously..." James 1:5a RSV

Committed Relationships. Because of His love for us, God desires to us to be knit to Him in authentic relationship. He expects us to extend that love and real relationship to each other. Applied to ministry initiatives, we should consider giving preference to initiatives that have authentic relationships at their core.
"Love must be sincere." Romans 12:9a TNIV

Deliberate Action. All Christians cannot participate in all initiatives. However, we all take from the community and from our nation. At some level we should all work to improve our community and our nation. As God stirs us, we should join together to transform our communities and nation by advancing His Kingdom in the area we live and beyond.

Our Great Commission: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20a TNIV

I believe...

1. I believe in one God the Father, the Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and of all that is, seen and unseen.

2. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being [substance] with the Father. Through Him all things were made.

3. For me and for my salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made truly human.

4. For my sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried.

5. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;

6. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

7. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

8. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

9. I believe in one body of Christ which is invisibly, holy, universal and apostolic.

10. I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

11. I look for the resurrection of the dead,

12. and the life of the world to come. Amen.
(Nicene Creed, adapted)....

Relevant to challenges of today's world, I believe

1. I believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of the Old and the New Testament as the only written Word of God.

2. I believe in the sanctity of human life, extending from human life in the womb to the lives of the elderly and infirm.

3. I believe that the ordination of marriage is between a man and a woman.

Joining with the larger Christian community, I believe and support the Lausanne Covenant

Church is not in the New Testament - Reflections of the Ecclesia

1. Running the Human Race or Running on the Rodent Wheel?Maybe you have never heard this, but I have.People say, “Is this all there is to the Kingdom – going to church, being good. If I have an opportunity, sharing my faith…” Of course, we know there are the ‘special ones’ - those that have ‘callings’ and ‘ministries,’ then there is the rest of us. We work, maybe at home, maybe in an office, factory, shop or store. We have families, t-ball, soccer, never enough time for everything and usually…See More

Why the local church cannot be the Ekklesia!

It is the close of one week and the opening of the next.Last week was such a feast of understanding and revelation. We prepare to offer family and household training to others. Part of that preparation included a detailed analysis. Using the 7 levels of the 5 x 7 model: Globe, Nation, State, Community, Congregation, Small Group, and Individual, we looked at the responsibility of believers at each level. This created a model that told us some things. Here is what the model showed so clearly...You…See More

In search of common unity... community.

We are prone to ‘religion’. We need to face it. Religion can quickly morph into meaningless and repetitive rituals – devoid of a genuine encounter with God and our brothers and sisters. Consider communion, reliving the death of Christ and celebrating the life we have in him. There was one body, one loaf broken so that we can all participate. The Lord’s Supper is not just about celebrating what was in the past, it is also about recognizing what is here today. The one body of Christ is still…See More

Blooming and failing love. To answer our heart cry…

I am one of those people who seem to have a lot of experiences in life. The really good ones have been incredible. The less than good ones have been incredibly bad.In the early years of being a Christian, I had some ‘friend’ challenges. Actually, at one point I took stock of those whom I loved and trusted. I felt that most of my close friends, in some way – many in significant ways, had betrayed me. I was in crisis. I was angry and hurt. To deal with things, there seemed to be some simple…See More

Self-Actualization or Fulfilling Your Destiny

These concepts, self-actualization and finding and fulfilling our destiny, are not out of necessity juxtaposed, but for the purpose of illustrating the point of this writing, they are.   We all desire 'to be' and many of us desire to be all that we can be.   There are two paths to greatness, both potential satisfying, each leading to a different place.   There is the…

Seeing the Foundations of the Kingdom

In extending the Kingdom...

    What is the Mission?

How do we fulfill the mission?

    What skills do we need?

How do we join together to build?

How do we overcome the current problems...

The body of Christ is divided...  Is the Lord coming back for a bride or for a harem?

    The average believer…

To Tell the Truth...

We live in an odd era.

Post Modern philosophy tells us that the realities that we talk about are not founded in truth, but depend on the view of the people discussing them.   On this and similar philosophy grows a relativistic worldview where most anything is, OK as long as we agree to it.  It is popularized by the saying, “It is true for you but not true…

Juanita, when DC told the Christians who were talking about the end times to get the hell off his site, they created their own, concernedchristans.ning.com
(note the missing i in Christians, a mistake that has not been corrected as of yet). Please join us there. I think it would be wonderful for the Kingdom Cryer family to interact with the Concerned Christians.
